WHAT WE DO
A Company With A Conscience - incorporated in Delaware. The seed of the initiative grew from the realization that, in spite of some community resources and social reform, many individuals are still affected by a lack of of available resources, knowledge, or failure of timely social reform. The founders joined their collective strengths with the goal of nurturing a coalition that can create change to improve the quality of lives of thousands.
The way we target these issues and reach our intended audience is through the use of educational films, prevention programs, expert panel discussions, and community outreach. We are harnessing the power of media to reach back to our children and young adults to teach them valuable lessons in a format they readily use, and one in which a familiarity already exists.
The team of individuals at We Stand Up Coalition - which consists of a Production Team (producers, camera (wo)men, editors, writers, set designers, stylists, makeup/hair artists), mental health professionals, Pastors, community leaders, politicians, and community members - each contribute to on-going dialogue about the issues that plague their communities.
Why use a Band-Aid when there is a remedy? Through film documentaries, created by us, for us, coupled with panels of victims and experts, we go into communities and provide education. It is only by education that change can be enacted.
It is our hope that through the use of presentation coupled with visual aids that community members leave our events feeling inspired, empowered, and with a sense of direction of how to carry forth change in their own communities.
We will go anywhere... yes, anywhere [in the globe] to promote our cause of increasing awareness of social injustices that affect our communities, our nation, or other countries. Yes, we understand tackling the world is a lofty goal so to prepare us for that adventure we have started right in our own communities where we work and where we live.
